  1. Summarize how big data can catalyze change in healthcare through research, quality improvement, and system planning,
  2. Describe how a big data platform can support "audit and feedback" and local quality improvement, and
  3. Recognize the potential of routinely collected clinical data for diverse research applications, including use of artificial intelligence.
